OLPE JONES PARK

The Olpe Jones Park was built in 1968 by the Olpe Lions club with financial assistance from the W.S. and E.C. Jones Trust. It is accessible from Santa Fe Street on the north and Listerscheid Street on the south. The park has three areas with playground equipment, two shelter houses, a softball diamond, a tennis court, a basketball court, a restroom and a pond. Sidewalks provide easy access through most of the park. In 2011, baskets were installed for a nine-hole disc golf course.

OLPE JONES LAKE

Olpe Jones Lake was built in 1964 to help supply water for the City of Olpe. It has been abandoned as a water source and is now a recreation spot only. The lake is approximately 90 acre with a swimming beach, shelter house, and numerous fishing pears. Boating and jet skiing also provide recreation activities. There are several good camping spots around the lake and pads for RV parking are being installed with electrical access. An 18 hole disk golf course is being built around the lake and has about a 3 mile walking course.
